Good evening WOSSC Community,

It’s that time of year again where the Club are calling for Committee Position Nominations for next year. There is no prior experience required in becoming a Committee Member; all you need is a desire to help the Club grow on and off the pitch. At times it can be a tough and thankless role, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. You get out what you put in to it.

2021 Club Structure and Roles:

Attached to this post (as a PDF) is a proposed overview of how the Club plans to restructure the roles of all committee members, volunteers, and coaches in order to better delegate tasks and increase accountability with the focus on further fulfilling this Club’s potential and promote growth.

If you’re not sure about what being a committee member or volunteer actually entails, then hopefully the brief role descriptions in the attached PDF can give you some idea. Please have a read, and maybe something will spark your interest.

If you have any questions about the proposed Club Structure or what’s involved in being a Committee Member, you can always get in touch with any of the Club’s existing Committee Members.

How to Nominate:

You can nominate yourself by registering your interest with Nick Pohlenz: nick.pohlenz@gmail.com and/or 0421705207
You do not need to nominate for a specific role as outlined in the attached PDF, unless you’re nominating for President/Treasurer/Secretary.

During the Club’s AGM (at approx. 7:30pm on the 17th October at the Marion Hotel), all positions will be declared vacant, nominations will be heard, and the new Committee will be formed.
